+++ OPENING Act SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR 2026. +++

If you’re an acoustic musician interested in performing at one of our twice-monthly Friday concerts, we provide two unpaid opening-act sets. Each set consists of 5 songs (25 minutes) played for some of the most appreciative audiences in the area.

Our mission is to promote handmade music played on traditional instruments. Typical styles we support include folk, bluegrass, Americana, Celtic, string-band, old-time, blues, and swing. We aim to stay true to the traditional side of the acoustic music scene, and we are a strictly non-religious and non-political organization. (Please, no praise music.) Although that covers many styles, we discourage pop, rock, or acts with drum kits.

Opening acts are unpaid, but you'll gain good exposure and can bring merch to sell. For more details, please apply using the application form below, and our booking agent will get back to you.

REQUIREMENTS:

Starting with our 2026 calendar year, musicians who live in the Colorado Springs area who have not performed for us as an Opening Act before are required to perform at our Open Mic or Showcase events before applying to be a Friday night Opening Act. If you are from out of town, please include audio or video clips or social media posts from comparable events on your application.

Don’t want to wait several months to perform on our stage, or feel nervous about playing in front of 100-200 people? Then consider our Open Mic or Showcase events if you live in the Colorado Springs area or are passing through. This will help you get comfortable in a very relaxed environment as you begin your musical performance journey.
