Description: This class is targeted at the intermediate mandolin player and is a follow-on to last fall’s beginning mandolin class, but other intermediate players are welcome. The course will teach a variety of musical styles, including chord melody, rhythm and back-up techniques, and movable chords.
Prerequisites: Basic mandolin skills in picking and strumming chords

Ray DeMers has been performing professionally since he picked up his first guitar at the age of 13. He quickly added bass, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and dobro to his instrument skillset. Ray has performed with Grammy winners John Mayall and Albert Collins. He’s been teaching for almost 40 years and enjoys helping folks discover their own musicality. Ray is a longtime favorite Black Rose instructor and can play and teach almost any instrument.
