Vulnerable, heartfelt, funny, engaging, and powerful are as good a collection of adjectives for Colorado Springs-based Singer/songwriter Joe Uveges as you will find anywhere. With more than 3000 shows under his belt and a stack of songs as deep as his and his wife's 35-year-old stainless steel soup pot, he's got a song for almost every occasion, and if he doesn't, he'll make one up on the spot. (Seriously)
Joe's incarnations have included partnering with Phil Volan, Peter Mayer, Charlie Hall, Stephanie Pauline, Jim Sokol, KJ Braithwaite, Daniel Braithwaite, Randy Block (The BUS BAND), Katie Uveges (daughter), and Jon Fisher (recently). The BUS Trio's most recent TBRAS feature in February of 2024 was the largest sell-out in recent history, helping kick off the 30th anniversary year in grand fashion.
Tens of thousands have witnessed Joe's artistry, but Black Rose has a special place in his heart. Always looking to share his heart AND his songs, the intimacy of the Black Rose venue is arguably the perfect venue for an artist of his warmth and depth. He will perform 1/2 of this set alone and then bring his daughter Katie and newfound music partner Jon Fisher into the mix for a night that will promise to be both memorable and very musical.
Special Guests:
Katie Uveges (violin and vocals)
Jon Fisher (piano, ukulele, and vocals)
